The 2010 Summer Mini-Eliminator crowned its Lane #1 Shootout Champion on Saturday and will crown its $20,000 Champion on Sunday. Congratulations to Senior Bowler, and former Mini-Eliminator Champion, Les Shirwindt of Las Vegas who won $5,000 and the Shootout trophy. Les bowled great throughout the Shootout and rolled a 265 in the final match using Lane #1’s new Time Bomb. The other Shootout finalists were; 2^nd place finisher Richard Samson, Camarillo, CA (from the 210 & under handicap division) won $2,500 with a 219, and 3^rd and 4^th place went to the two 49 & under representatives; Matt Barker, Bartlett, IL ($1,500) 204 and Matt Jones, Avondale, AZ ($1,000) 163.

Mini-Eliminator main event qualifying has been completed and 125 bowlers will be in the finals trying to win the 2010 Mini title and the $20,000 top prize. The bowlers with the best chance of winning the title are the Super Bye winners (guaranteed $4,000); 49 & under division- Scott Pohl, Burnsville, MN, Senior Division- Sam Carter, Ben Lomond, CA, and in the 210 & under division- Bob Godden, Las Vegas, NV.

The Mini-Eliminator staff wants to thank all of our sponsors and especially the bowlers that competed this summer. Entries were up over 10% from last year as more than 1,300 entries were recorded. A special congratulations to Brent Ritchie of Madison, WI who won the $1,500 Lane #1 prize package.
